My Mind's Eye

The wonder and enjoyment of a child fills my mind's Eye as I look upon the beauty of God's creation. The long, drab, dreary winter is over as the hardwood forest takes on the green haze of Spring's great awakening. The buds are opening even as the flowering Dogwoods and Redbud trees bask in their short-lived reign before the full canopy of oak leaves enshrouds them. The sunny days and spring rains are working their magic. The Morels are popping up to the morning thunder of wild turkey Gobblers echoing their newfound dominance to the glades and hollows of the Ozark hills. The Crappie are quick to find the hook and fill the angler's stringer as the whole earth seems to celebrate the rebirth and new beginning that Spring brings.

. . . NOW, if I can just find the right scene to capture and portray this on canvas! My mind's eye is not bound by time or space or even f-stops or ccd's . . . Perhaps the human mind IS the ultimate canvas!

Don't you just love Change?!

Ummm, I really don't like change, usually.  But then again, my wife says I take about two weeks to decide if I like the "new furniture arrangement." Ha!

However, some change (unlike the political "hope & change" we got in 2008) CAN BE good.  I am looking forward to offering some new services for my clients that will be unique among my many competitors, and set me apart from the ever-growing crowd of "wanna-be" photographers.  I am always looking for a better way to serve my clients; to offer something beyond the current trends in photography.  Quality, Service, and an Un-matched guarantee have always been my hallmarks, and they will continue.  I am also looking forward to adding some more reasons to choose Images By Doug Goodwin as your photographer of choice!  Keep watching this blog, as well as the front page of my main website (http://goodwinphoto.com) for updates and exciting new offerings.

Until then, enjoy the beautiful warmer weather coming our way.  AND, don't forget the wonderful Dogwood trees that will be blooming here in a matter of days.  They can make a beautiful addition to the scenic aspect of YOUR family portrait!

Thanks for listening! -- Doug

p.s. - Here is the new rack card that will be going out to potential new clients, and will be available in the community here at the Lake of the Ozarks.  No you can't print one from here for the $50 discount, but you can contact me as to where to get YOUR discount on a family portrait!
